1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the US version of NutriLens available under the English-language experience. It is intended to provide disclosures relevant to US state privacy laws, including California privacy requirements.

2. Categories of information we collect

• Profile information you enter, such as age, sex, height, weight, and wellness goals.
• Food images, food names, ingredients, and meal timing submitted for analysis.
• Usage data stored locally in your browser, such as meal history, water tracking, and app preferences.
• Sensitive information only if you choose to provide it in the future. The current US experience limits health-checkup-based personalization.

3. How we use information

• Provide general wellness nutrition analysis and meal feedback.
• Personalize non-medical food guidance based on the profile information you provide.
• Maintain meal history, streaks, and in-browser app state.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse.

4. Third-party processing and international transfer

When you submit food analysis requests, the image and related food text are sent to OpenAI for processing. This means your data may be processed outside your state or country, including in the United States.

NutriLens does not state that food analysis data never leaves the browser. Analysis requests necessarily leave the device when you choose to use the AI analysis feature.

5. Sensitive personal information

Certain nutrition and health-related inputs may be considered sensitive personal information under US privacy laws. NutriLens US provides notice before such data is used and limits medical-style health-checkup personalization in the current release scope.

6. California and other US privacy rights

• You may request access to information associated with your use of the service, subject to verification and technical limits.
• You may request deletion of data stored locally by clearing site storage in your browser.
• NutriLens does not sell personal information for money.
• NutriLens does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics beyond providing the requested wellness service.

7. Children

NutriLens US is not directed to children under 13. Users under 13 are blocked during onboarding for the US service.
